Preservation Sites

Our Work

The current condition of many of Pakistan's cultural heritage sites evidences the need for an intervention. The continuity of life of these extraordinarily valuable architectural sites which are a token of the world’s most ancient settlements, enraptured by the highly dense cluster of population and the crude physical and environmental conditions surrounding it, is being dangerously threatened. Lahore University of Management Sciences, with the aid and support of the United States Agency for International Development, recognizing the urgency, complexity and delicacy of this social, cultural and academic challenge have started their endeavor towards the
Digital Preservation of Pakistan’s Heritage.

The initiative of this project plans on the digital preservation of Masjid Wazir Khan and Darewar Fort in Punjab, Masjid Khudabad and Temple of Shiva Johi in Sindh and Takht-i-Bahi and Stupa at Julian in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa.
